According to The Hollywood Reporter's story on the downfall of former Amazon programming chief Roy Price, the disgraced exec had been developing a show based on his own idea called Shanghai Snow, about a woman sold into slavery who is constantly beaten, drugged and raped. The show was so horrible that one of its writers refused to work on it unless it was toned down.
