Chris Noth's tequila brand deal nixed over sexual assault allegations

Entertainment Arts Research, a publicly traded beverage company, reached a deal in August  to acquire Noth's Ambhar tequila brand for $12 million. But the deal has been nixed after two women came forward to The Hollywood Reporter alleging the Sex and the City actor sexually assaulted them (a third woman later came forward to The Daily Beast). “We thought it would be in our best interest to withdraw from the transaction,” Chief Executive Bernard Rubin told the New York Post on Friday.
