CBS is redeveloping Stacey Abrams' Never Tell novel adaptation with Madam Secretary creator Barbara Hall

Hall, who also created Joan of Arcadia and co-created Judging Amy, will oversee a new adaptation of Abrams' romance suspense novel Never Tell, which the politician and voting rights activist wrote under the pen name Selena Montgomery. In Never Tell, "in an effort to escape the dark secrets of her past, a brilliant linguist assumes a new identity as a professor in New Orleans and joins forces with an intrepid journalist and a local detective to tackle the toughest crimes in the city," per Deadline. Abrams will serve as an executive producer.
