Bridget Everett to star in an HBO comedy set in her home state of Kansas

The comedian and singer, who's best known for performing with Amy Schumer, will star in Somebody Somewhere, a comedy based on her life in her native state of Kansas. "As a born and bred Kansan, I’m thrilled to share some of the beauty and complexity of the place that I grew up," said Everett, who was born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas. "For as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamt of making a show on HBO.  I’m so grateful to Amy Gravitt, Casey Bloys and the entire HBO family for their faith in Somebody Somewhere. Everett also starred in the 2015 Comedy Central special Bridget Everett: Gynecological Wonder.
