Amy Seimetz exits The Idol amid shakeup

The actress and co-creator of The Girlfriend Experience was set to direct all episodes of The Weeknd's HBO music industry drama series. But she's exiting as the show is undergoing a creative overhaul after filming a few episodes. Euphoria creator Sam Levinson, who co-created The Idol, is "now expected to have more of a role in directing the series," according to Deadline.
