Guillermo del Toro Unveils His Cabinet of Curiosities, Finale Time for The Patient

    Television offers two very different types of horror today, as Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities premieres as part of a four-day event, and The Patient finale reveals the fate of Dr. Alan Strauss (Steve Carell), who was taken hostage by his serial killer patient.

    Also today: Reboot wraps its first season on Hulu, Unsolved Mysteries tells three new stories, Fortune Feimster returns to Netflix with her second hour-long special, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities: Series premiere. Oscar winner Guillermo del Toro curates this collection of eight genre-bending horror stories featuring performances from Rupert Grint, Crispin Glover, Nia Vardalos, and more stars.     The Patient: Limited series finale. For Sam (Domhnall Gleeson), an unexpected decision shows progress towards his goals, but Dr. Strauss (Steve Carell) demands even more. Streaming on FX on Hulu

    Reboot: Season 1 finale. Just as Reed (Keegan-Michael Key) gets an unexpected visitor, Bree (Judy Greer) gets hit with surprising news during an on-camera interview. Meanwhile, Hannah (Rachel Bloom) and Gordon (Paul Reiser) learn that there’s been a regime change at Hulu that does not bode well for the show. Streaming on Hulu

    Unsolved Mysteries: New episodes. The Netflix series explores the death of the man known as Las Vegas’s Most Colorful Character, paranormal activity on the Navajo reservation, and the mysterious disappearance of a 20-year-old man in Minnesota. Streaming on Netflix

    Fortune Feimster: Good Fortune: Comedy special. The comedian and actress reflects on some major life events she’s experienced over the past few years, including falling in love with her wife and the extravagant proposal that didn’t go as planned, in her second hour for Netflix.     The Resident: 100th episode. On Kit (Jane Leeves) and Bell’s (Bruce Greenwood) wedding day, Bell and Conrad (Matt Czuchry) get pulled away to tend to the ill daughter of a major hospital donor. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

    The Winchesters: New episode. When Mary’s (Meg Donnelly) next-door neighbor mysteriously goes missing, she and John (Drake Rodger) start digging into the disappearance, but during their investigation, John unexpectedly reunites with someone from his past. 8:00 PM ET on The CW

    Making Black America: Through the Grapevine: Docuseries finale. The Henry Louis Gates, Jr.-hosted docuseries concludes with an examination of how Black political and cultural movements, including Black Power and Black Twitter, provide a safe space to debate, organize, and celebrate. 9:00 PM ET on PBS
