Happy Halloween weekend! Over the next few days, television delivers a frightfully packed lineup, as Emmy darling The White Lotus returns for its second season on HBO, Big Mouth Season 6 offers more raunchy fun, and Prime Video bows supernatural thriller The Devil’s Hour.

FRIDAY OCTOBER 28

Big Mouth: Complete Season 6. Adam Levine, Annaleigh Ashford, Brian Tyree Henry, and more celebrities lend their voices to the animated comedy’s sixth season. This time around, the students of Bridgeton Middle School (and their hormone monsters) navigate new challenges, including long-distance relationships, family drama, and yeast infections. The Devil’s Hour: Complete limited series. Peter Capaldi and Jessica Raine headline this six-part thriller about a woman (Raine) whose nightmares draw her into a hunt for a serial killer in a world where nothing is as it seems. Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities: Limited series finale. Netflix’s four-day horror event comes to an end with two supernatural-themed anthology episodes, featuring performances from Peter Weller, Eric André, Essie Davis, and Andrew Lincoln. Streaming on Netflix

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself: Complete Season 1. Caught between two warring clans, 16-year-old Nathan (Jay Lycurgo), the son of a notorious witch responsible for a deadly massacre, tries to find his place in the world — and his powers. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

Louis Armstrong’s Black & Blues: Original documentary. Described as the “definitive documentary” on Louis Armstrong, this film explores his legacy as a founding father of jazz and a cultural ambassador of the United States. The doc was produced in accordance with the Louis Armstrong Educational Foundation, and director Sacha Jenkins had full access to a trove of rare archival materials, audio recordings, and personal diaries. Saturday Night Live: New episode. SNL closes out the first month of Season 48 with rapper Jack Harlow, who will make his hosting debut and serve as musical guest.
