Tales of the Jedi Tells New Prequel Stories, Sherman's Showcase Returns to IFC

    With Andor holding down the fort in the pre-Rebellion era, Disney+ flashes back in Star Wars lore in a new animated short series, Tales of the Jedi. Set in the prequel era, the six-episode series tells the story of two different Jedi, Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku, as they seek their destinies.

    Also today: Variety series Sherman’s Showcase returns to IFC and AMC+ after two years away, Tell Me Lies ends with a bang, Netflix drops two new episodes of Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

    Tales of the Jedi: Complete Season 1. Prequel-era Jedi Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku are put to the test as they make choices that define their destinies. The season consists of six animated shorts built around classic Jedi parables. Watch trailer. Streaming on Disney+

    Sherman’s Showcase: Season 2 premiere. Co-creators and co-stars Bashir Salahuddin and Diallo Riddle are back with a new slate of musically-inclined sketches and celebrity guests, including John Legend (who also executive produces), Issa Rae, and Mary J. Blige. In addition to airing linearly on IFC, the first two episodes drop today on AMC+. Watch trailer. 10:30 PM ET on IFC

    Tell Me Lies: Season 1 finale. As the semester ends, Lucy (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen’s (Jackson White) relationship changes forever. The college-set drama has yet to be renewed for a second season, but showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer is optimistic it will return for more. Streaming on Hulu

    Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities: New episodes. David Prior and Ana Lily Amirpour direct two distinct stories about loners, “The Autopsy” (featuring F. Murray Abraham and Glynn Turman) and “The Outside,” starring Kate Micucci, Martin Starr, and Dan Stevens. Streaming on Netflix

    The Mysterious Benedict Society: Season 2 premiere. When the orphans discover that Mr. Benedict (Tony Hale) and Number Two (Kristen Schaal) have been kidnapped, they must piece together the riddles found within a perilous scavenger hunt to foil the nefarious plans of Mr. Benedict’s twin brother, Dr. L.D. Curtain (Hale). Two episodes drop today. Watch trailer. Streaming on Disney+

    The D’Amelio Show: Season 2 finale. The second season of D’Amelio family shenanigans comes to an end with two final episodes. Streaming on Hulu

    Love Is Blind: New episodes. After returning home, the couples must adjust to “real world” obstacles, including meeting their new partner’s friends and families, lingering jealousies, and the pressure of getting married in just two weeks. Streaming on Netflix

    Andor: New episode. Streaming on Discovery+

    The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills: Reunion (Part 3). The women of RHOBH have one last chance to air their grievances in the final hour of the Season 12 reunion. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on Bravo

    A Tree of Life: The Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting: Original documentary. Emmy-winning director Trish Adlesic commemorates the anniversary of the 2018 mass shooting at a Pittsburgh synagogue, the deadliest antisemitic attack in American history, in a documentary featuring personal interviews with the survivors, victims, and their family members. The film is produced by Pittsburgh natives Michael Keaton, Billy Porter, and Mark Cuban and features original song “A Tree Of Life” by Idina Menzel. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    Abbott Elementary: New episode. In the comedy’s first Halloween episode, a student steals a bag of candy meant to be given out at the end of the day and distributes it during school hours, prompting the teachers to band together to find the culprit. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

    Documentary Now!: New episode. The comedy draws inspiration from fashion docuseries Three Salons at the Seaside and Vogue's The September Issue with an episode about two hairdressers (Cate Blanchett and Dame Harriet Walter) as they create their yearly stylebook for their small seaside town. 10:00 PM ET on IFC
