American Horror Story Takes NYC, Love Is Blind Returns to the Pods

    American Horror Story has traveled from Los Angeles to Roanoke, Virginia, but today, the horror anthology finally makes it to the Big Apple in its New York City-set 11th season. Ryan Murphy’s regular crew of collaborators, including Billie Lourd, Zachary Quinto, Patti LuPone, and Denis O’Hare, will play new characters in the season, set at a time of city-wide crisis.

    Also today: Dallas-area singles enter the pods in Love Is Blind Season 3, Documentary Now! returns after three long years away, Bravo’s Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion brings the drama, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

    American Horror Story: New York City: Season 11 premiere. Ryan Murphy promises “the deadliest year” yet for his FX horror anthology, which takes place amid a spate of mysterious deaths and disappearances in NYC. The season stars Joe Mantello, Leslie Grossman, Zachary Quinto, and Patti LuPone, among others. Two episodes air every Wednesday through November 16. Watch teaser. 10:00 PM ET on FX

    Love Is Blind: Season 3 premiere. Hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey welcome a new group of singles ready to find a partner who loves them for who they are, rather than what they look like, as Netflix’s blind dating competition returns.     Documentary Now!: Season 4 premiere. The Helen Mirren-hosted comedy series continues to parody popular documentaries in its fourth season, which features guest stars Cate Blanchett, Nicholas Braun, and Alexander Skarsgård. The two-part premiere pays tribute to the films of Agnes Varda, a pioneer of the French New Wave movement. Watch trailer. 10:00 PM ET on IFC

    In the Soop: Friendcation: Complete docuseries. Korean stars Park Seo-jun (The Marvels), rapper Peakboy, Choi Woo-shik (Parasite), Park Hyung-sik (Soundtrack #1), and V (of BTS fame) step away from their busy lives and unwind together on a relaxing surprise trip.     Notre Dame: Complete limited series. Inspired by true accounts from French firefighters, this scripted drama explores the impact of the 2019 fire of Notre-Dame on a diverse group of Parisians. In French. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    The Rebellious Life of Mrs. Rosa Parks: Original documentary. Directors Yoruba Richen and Johanna Hamilton expand the record on Rosa Parks’ overlooked accomplishments and her pursuit of Black liberation in a documentary based on the bestselling biography by Jeanne Theoharis.     Year One: A Political Odyssey: Original documentary. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Sanger partners with HBO to chart President Biden’s first year in office, from Inauguration Day 2021 to his State of the Union speech in March 2022. The documentary follows members of the president’s inner circle as they respond to a number of unfolding historical events, including the fallout from the insurrection and the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccine.
