The Old Man, Players, and Rutherford Falls Lead a Day of Premieres

    It’s a day of major releases as Jeff Bridges and John Lithgow face off in FX’s The Old Man, the American Vandal team tackles esports in Players, and The Offer brings its Godfather story to a close.

    Also today: The Kardashians wraps Season 1, Rutherford Falls returns to Peacock, and the title is on the line in Game 6 of the NBA Finals. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

    January 6th Hearings: Live coverage. The third public hearing of the Senate January 6th Committee begins at 10:00 AM ET/7:00 AM PT on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC and other stations

    The Old Man: Limited series premiere. Jeff Bridges plays Dan Chase, a reclusive former CIA operative who is flushed out of hiding by an assassin in this seven-episode drama. Hunting Chase is FBI bigwig Harold Harper (John Lithgow), who's been called into the case because of his complicated past with the rogue fugitive. Amy Brenneman, Alia Shawkat, and E.J.     Players: Series premiere. Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault (American Vandal) follow a fictional pro “League of Legends” esports team as they pursue their first championship after years of close calls and heartache.     Rutherford Falls: Complete second season. Life-long best friends Nathan Rutherford (Ed Helms) and Reagan Wells (Jana Schmieding) help each other tackle work, romance, and major changes to their small town and the native American reservation it borders. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

    The Kardashians: Season 1 finale. After news of Tristan’s infidelity breaks, the Kardashian-Jenners call a family meeting to help Khloé cope. Hulu has already ordered additional seasons of the reality series, bringing the overall episode count up to 40. Watch preview. Streaming on Hulu

    The Offer: Limited series finale. After The Godfather is released to rave reviews and breaks box office records, drama unfolds at the 45th Academy Awards. Meanwhile, Al Ruddy (Miles Teller) looks to the future and his next project. Streaming on Paramount+

    NBA Finals: Up 3-2 in the series, the Golden State Warriors have a chance to win their seventh NBA championship in Game 6 against the Boston Celtics. 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT on ABC

    Father of the Bride: Original film. HBO Max puts an updated spin on the classic romantic comedy in this Latinx adaptation starring Andy Garcia and Gloria Estefan as parents coping with their daughter’s sudden engagement and impending wedding. Watch trailer. Streaming on HBO Max

    Snoop Dogg’s F*cn Around Comedy Special: Standup special. Snoop Dogg hosts a night of legendary black comics, including Katt Williams, Mike Epps, and Donnel Rawlings, and offers a few punchlines of his own in this special shot at the Netflix Is a Joke Festival in May. Streaming on Netflix

    AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Julie Andrews: Special presentation. The American film Institute honors the screen legend in a gala event taped last week in Los Angeles. 10:00 PM ET on TNT

    Legacies: Series finale. As the group reflects on recent events and what comes next, Hope (Danielle Rose Russell) and Lizzie each find solace from unexpected yet welcome sources. Tonight's finale marks the end of The Vampire Diaries universe after 13 years on The CW. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on The CW

    Martin: The Reunion: Special presentation. Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Tichina Arnold, and Carl Anthony Payne II return to Martin's living room to reflect on the sitcom’s iconic moments and enduring legacy.
