    Just a few months after Insecure wrapped its five-season run, Issa Rae returns to HBO Max with Rap Sh!t, a new comedy about estranged friends who reunite to form a rap group.

    Also today: American Horror Stories brings a new crop of terrifying tales to the screen, HBO Max tells the story of Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip and The Old Man say goodbye for the season, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

    Rap Sh!t: Series premiere. When estranged high school friends Shawna (Aida Osman) and Mia (KaMillion) reunite to form a rap group, they struggle to make it in the rap scene while staying true to themselves.     American Horror Stories: Season 2 premiere. Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk serve up more horror stories in the second season of their episodic anthology series.     The Last Movie Stars: Complete docuseries. Ethan Hawke directs this six-part CNN Films documentary about Joanne Woodward and Paul Newman. The docuseries aims to celebrate their enigmatic personas, incredible talent, and epic love story, told through the lens of a long-abandoned project Newman commissioned from friend screenwriter Stewart Stern.     The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Season 2 finale. On the last full day of the trip, Jill takes the group canoeing at a local lake. Later, a final dinner at Shaker Village brings the ladies together as Phaedra reveals a late-night surprise. Streaming on Peacock

    Hart to Heart: New episodes. Kevin Hart sits down with Chris Rock and Mark Wahlberg for some deep chats in his wine cellar. Streaming on Peacock

    The Old Man: Season 1 finale. As Chase (Jeff Bridges) is forced to face the consequences for his past choices, Harper (John Lithgow) learns an impossible truth. The drama has already been renewed for a second season. Watch preview. 10:00 PM ET on FX

    January 6 Committee Hearing: The House select committee returns to primetime as it zeroes in on Trump's conduct on January 6, 2021, specifically as it relates to his lack of response as rioters breached the Capitol. The hearing is expected to run for two hours. 8:00 PM ET on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, C-SPAN, and others

    You Are Not My Mother: Original film. The week before Halloween, Char’s (Hazel Doupe) bedridden mother Angela (Carolyn Bracken) suddenly goes missing. When she returns, Char is determined to uncover the truth of her disappearance and unearth the dark secrets of her family. The Irish horror film debuted in theaters in 2021. Watch trailer.     Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous: Complete Season 5 (series finale). The fate of the dinosaurs is at stake in the final season of Netflix’s animated children’s series, produced by Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    The Captain: New episode (timeslot premiere). In his first season as a pro, Jeter has an instant impact on the Yankees, catapulting him to superstardom. Through it all, Jeter becomes a leader on the 1998 Yankees, a team considered by many to be the greatest in the history of baseball. 9:00 PM ET on ESPN
