The Bachelorette Ends a Twisty Season With Fears, Tears and (Maybe) Love

    We can say this about The Bachelor franchise: 17 years in, it still knows how to pack a surprise. This season has seen more than its fair share, and tonight's finale promises to continue the trend with Tayshia's happily ever after far from assured.

    Also today: Fox wraps its AI thriller Next with a two-part series finale, The Price is Right and Let's Make a Deal stage a holiday-themed primetime return, and Hulu gets into the ring with David Arquette. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    SEASON FINALE: After a shocking rose ceremony, Tayshia is excited to introduce the remaining bachelors on The Bachelorette, but when proposal day arrives she's so overcome with emotion that not even Chris Harrison can read her tears. The two-hour season finale begins at 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    SERIES FINALE: John Slattery does his best Arnold impression as he attempts to put the kibosh on Next's killer AI once and for all. Canceled in October, the freshman drama draws to a close tonight with two back-to-back episodes beginning at 9:00 PM ET on FOX

    SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Drew Carey hauls out the holly and decks the halls for special holiday-themed installment of The Price is Right at Night, featuring a new lineup of festive games and prizes. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Wayne Brady is also back with Let's Make a Deal Primetime, featuring a guest appearance from Christopher Jackson, star of CBS' Bull. 9:00 PM ET on CBS

    DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: Master filmmaker Frederick Wiseman turns his camera on the inners workings of Boston's city government in City Hall, his latest four-hour documentary opus. Read our review. 8:00 PM ET on PBS

    DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: HBO Sports takes an intimate look at the life and career of a baseball superstar in Under the Grapefruit Tree: The CC Sabathia Story. Featuring behind the scenes footage from his his final season with the Yankees in 2019, the doc looks back at Sabathia's legacy as one of the game's preeminent pitchers and the profound challenges that shaped him, including his longtime battles with addiction and anxiety.     DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: After its planned premiere at South by Southwest was derailed by the pandemic, David Barg and Price James' warts and all look at David Arquette's return to the wrestling ring was released at drive-in theaters and VOD instead.     MADE FOR TV MOVIE: After being stood up by her boyfriend Brad (William McNamara), Rachel (Jamie Lunar) meets Michael (Johnny Messner) and his teenage daughter at a Christmas pageant rehearsal in The Christmas High Note.
