Darren Star Returns to the Well With Netflix's Emily in Paris

    As Primetimer's Tara Ariano writes, the trevails of a young glamorous professional finding their way in a new city is familiar territory for TV megaproducer Darren Star. In Emily in Paris, Star sends Lily Collins to the City of Lights, where she gets by on the international language of love. The series drops its ten-episode first season on Netflix today. Also today: Hulu rolls out a spooky new anthology series, Song Exploder brings the popular podcast to Netflix, and Lorne Michaels presents a new horror comedy.     SERIES PREMIERE: Up and coming Chicago marketing executive Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) heads to the City of Lights in Emily in Paris, where she faces professional challenges and a host of hunky French men. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: Executive producer Alex Gibney presents Kingdom of Silence, which opens the door on the twisted marriage of convenience between the United States and Saudi Arabia, one whose complex web of contradictions became more pronounced following the murder and dismemberment of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashogi in a Saudi Arabian consulate in 2018.
