The holiday season has hit fever pitch on TV, and while we're not aware of any Scrooge-themed episodes airing tonight, there's plenty of other holiday fare on offer, starting with Modern Family's final Christmas episode, titled — appropriately enough — "The Last Christmas." Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:.

NEW EPISODE: Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) is wary of Cameron's (Eric Stonestreet) impending trip to Missouri as the Modern Family crew gathers to celebrate Christmas. His suspicions are well founded, as Cameron is planning to interview for a new coaching position. Meanwhile, Haley (Sarah Hyland) savors her first swigs of holiday cheer since the twins were born. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

SEASON FINALE: Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman close out Making It's marathon second season, but not before their merry band of makers are tasked with turning a run of the mill tool shed into a destination getaway. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

NEW EPISODE: And then there were five. With Tree's exit last night, The Masked Singer's holiday semifinals pit  Flamingo, Fox, Leopard, Rottweiler and Thingamajig in a battle to see who advances to next week's finals. 8:00 PM ET on Fox

HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Robert Downey Jr. joins Ellen DeGeneres and a cavalcade of stars for part two of Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways. The three-night event concludes tomorrow night. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    ALSO TONIGHT

    • The Goldbergs engage in a round of competitive holiday card one-upmanship. 8:00 PM ET on ABC
    • Moonlight Sonata: Deafness in Three Movements tells the story of a hearing impaired boy, his aging deaf grandfather, and the enduring legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on HBO
