Today marks the dawn of new era in the streaming wars, as Apple TV+, the first of several high profile new services opens its doors for business. (Disney+ launches on Nov 12, while Peacock and HBO Max are set to bow in the spring.)

Apple launches today with just nine originals, but with big names like Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, Steve Carell, Hailee Steinfeld and Jason Mamoa attached to those projects, it's definitely making a splash. (For an overview of the new service, our Joe Reid filed this primer, which includes information on how you can sample Apple TV+ for free.)

Never ones to stand on the sidelines, Netflix and Amazon have their own high-profile premieres today, including new seasons of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan, Queer Eye and Atypical. Here's what's new and noteworthy on this very crowded Friday:

SERIES PREMIERE: Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon lead a star-studded cast in The Morning Show, which follows the behind the scenes drama that unfolds when a Today Show-style a.m. talks how's longtime co-host, played by Steve Carell, is exposed for wrongdoing and quickly shown the door, leaving Aniston's Alex Levy to carry the show, along with Witherspoon's rising star Bradley Jackson.  Watch the preview. SERIES PREMIERE: The latest in a series of alternate history narratives to hit television, For All Mankind  imagines a world in which Russia won the space race, but may have made America a better nation by bumping it to second place. Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore is behind this new series that explores what happens when NASA and the nation continue reaching for the stars, striving to put the first woman on the moon, while propelling the country toward a more hopeful future.
