Who's ready to feel uneasy about the state of personal liberty in America? That's right, it's the return of Hulu's crown-jewel dramatic series The Handmaid's Tale, the TV drama about an imagined future where a religious right-wing regime strips women of all rights, forcing them into subjugation as servants and brood mares. Whether you see the show as a work of dystopian science fiction or an urgent cautionary tale likely comes down to your personal politics, but there's no denying that over just two short seasons the show has become a cultural touchpoint.

SEASON PREMIERE: The third season of The Handmaid's Tale picks up after Season 2's controversial finale, in which June (Elisabeth Moss) once again opted not to escape Gilead, staying behind for her daughter, Hannah.  Producers promise that June will be "more outwardly rebelious" than in Seasons 1 and 2, and she may find an unlikely ally in Bradley Whitford's Commander Joseph Lawrence. Whitford joins the show full time this season. Streaming on Hulu

NEW SEASON: A new batch of Black Mirror episodes also drop today, but don't expect another Bandersnatch-style choose-your-adventure episode. This set of three new episodes will feature the likes of Andrew Scott, Anthony Mackie, Topher Grace, and Miley CyrusStreaming on Netflix

MID-SEASON PREMIERE: The Season 2 summer return of Grown-ish sees Zoey (Yara Shahidi) dealing with the fallout of getting caught cheating on her exams. But it's not just her academic life that's falling all around her, as her family and relationship all take a hit. 8:00 PM ET on Freeform
