Elite Mutant Clone Troopers Get a Show of Their Own in Star Wars: The Bad Batch First Look

  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars is a much beloved animated series that focused on the era between Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones  through Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. It fleshed out Anakin Skywalker's descent into the Dark Side of the Force and introduced us to Ahsoka Tano, who just made her live-action debut in The Mandalorian and who will be getting her own show.

It also created Clone Force 99, a group of defectively-born clone troopers who underwent genetic mutations to turn them into an elite force of tough guys nicknamed The Bad Batch. Led by Sergeant Hunter, with extra-sensory abilities, the crew includes Wrecker (strong guy), Tech (smart guy), Crosshair (sniper guy), and Echo (cyborg guy).

These guys are now getting an animated series of their own, dealing with the downfall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch does not have a premiere date yet.
