Sunny Hostin: ABC News tried to "censor" portions of her memoir that put the network in a negative light

The View co-host's upcoming book I Am These Truths: A Memoir of Identity, Justice, and Living Between Worlds, due Sept. 22, contains a forward mentioning that ABC News asked some of her passages be removed, reports journalist Yashar Ali. Hostin wouldn't say which passages ABC News asked to be removed, but she says ABC relented after her lawyers pushed back. Hostin's memoir goes into detail about ousted ABC News executive Barbara Fedida, who reportedly called The View co-host "low-rent." “I was floored. I felt incredibly sad, but I also felt relief,” Hostin writes. “Many of the experiences I’ve had at ABC, including several described in these pages that standards and practices at first asked me to delete — well, if the allegations were true, all of the dots were connected.”
