CBS is cautiously optimistic about keeping James Corden as The Late Late Show host

Amid contract renewal talks, Corden has gone around talking about a post-Late Late Show future. This summer, he took a month off from his show to film BBC's Gavin & Stacey reunion special. He's also appeared in movies ranging from Cats to Yesterday to Ocean's Eight. When asked about Corden's future, CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl said: "We are very much hoping to work with James Corden for a long long time."
