HBO Remakes Irma Vep, American Ninja Warrior Kicks Off Season 14

    New on TV this Monday: Olivier Assayas puts a fresh spin on his 1996 film Irma Vep in HBO’s series adaptation of the same name, American Ninja Warrior introduces four new obstacles for Season 14, Bill Burr and his friends take over Netflix, and Roswell, New Mexico and In the Dark begin their final seasons on The CW.

    Irma Vep: Series premiere. Disillusioned by her carer and a recent breakup, American movie star Mira (Alicia Vikander) travels to France to star as “Irma Vep” in a remake of the French silent film classic Les Vampires. Against the backdrop of the lurid crime thriller, Mira struggles as the distinctions between herself and her character begin to blur. Olivier Assayas, who directed the 1996 film, writes and directs the new four-part series. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max

    American Ninja Warrior: Season 14 premiere. Competitors as young as 15 gather at San Antonio’s Alamodome to compete in the world’s most challenging obstacle course. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    Roswell, New Mexico: Season 4 premiere. With the threat of Jones behind them, the couples are happy and thriving, but a sudden storm leaves everyone on edge about what’s to come.     In the Dark: Season 4 premiere. As Murphy (Perry Mattfeld) adjusts to life in prison, Max (Casey Diedrick) accompanies Leslie (Marianne Rendón) and Felix (Morgan Krantz) to an interesting afternoon with their grandmother. Lifetime’s night of true crime premieres continues with this docuseries about cases where jealousy pushes individuals to do the unthinkable to their husbands, wives, former friends, and lovers. The 26-episode series originally aired in the UK. 10:00 PM ET on Lifetime

    Miz & Mrs: Season 3 premiere. With big careers moves on the horizon and a revolving door of visiting family members, WWE superstars The Miz and Maryse must learn to balance the pressures of their jobs with raising two toddlers. Watch preview. 11:00 PM ET on USA Network
