Country Stars Gather for the CMT Awards, Wrap Time For American Idol's Top 24

    It's a big night for music as country's best and brightest convene in Nashville for the 2022 CMT Awards and the last of American Idol’s Top 24 face off in Hawaii. Also today: The Invisible Pilot dives deeper into the mysterious case of Gary Betzner, the 9-1-1 crew helps people face their fears, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Monday:

    2022 CMT Music Awards: Special presentation. Kelsea Ballerini and Anthony Mackie host the 56th CMT Music Awards, which make their CBS debut tonight after decades on cable. Performers are set to include Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban, Little Big Town, Kane Brown, and The Judds, making their first nationally televised awards show appearance in 20 years. 8:00 PM ET on CBS and Streaming on Paramount+

    American Idol: New episode. The singing competition says goodbye to Disney’s Aulani Resort in Hawaii after two nights of Top 24 performances. Bebe Rexha serves as a mentor as the Idol hopefuls work to secure a spot in the Top 20. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    The Invisible Pilot: New episode. The three-part docuseries continues to explore the stranger-than-fiction story of Gary Betzner, a pilot who vanished in rural Arkansas in 1977. Read our review. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    9-1-1: New episode. Athena’s (Angela Bassett) investigation of a robbery at a gas station takes an unexpected turn when the would-be victim turns the tables on her assailant. Meanwhile, Bobby (Peter Krause) and the 118 race to rescue a novice diver who panics while in a shark cage, and a house sitter terrified of spiders. Followed by a new episode of 9-1-1: Lone Star.     Balthazar: Complete Season 4. The French-language crime drama makes its way to Acorn TV with eight new episodes. In Season 4, Paris forensic pathologist Raphael Balthazar (Tomer Sisley) is forced to face his demons when a new captain (Constance Labbé) steps in to replace his office partner, friend, and soulmate Hélène (Hélène de Fougerolles).     My Brilliant Friend: New episode. With her marriage in crisis, Elena (Margherita Mazzucco) is reinvigorated when Nino Sarratore (Francesco Serpico) shows up and befriends Pietro (Matteo Cecchi). 10:00 PM ET on HBO
