America's Got Talent Aims For Normal in Season 16 Return

    NBC's megahit America's Got Talent saw more than its fair share of tumult last year, with the production forced to improvise its way through the early days of the pandemic and then Simon Cowell breaking his back midway through the season. Tonight's Season 16 premiere sees Cowell back at the judges table alongside Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofia Vergara, with plans for a much more normal season — complete with in-person auditions and the return of its live studio audience later this summer.

    Also today: Lego Masters gets bigger and bolder for Season 2, Larry Krasner faces one final challenge in Philly D.A., and school is finally back in session for the ladies of Cruel Summer. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    SEASON PREMIERE: Summer favorite America’s Got Talent returns for Season 16 with two hours worth of auditions. The Golden Buzzer is back, but only a few talented contestants will get the chance to go directly to AGT’s live shows. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    SEASON PREMIERE: Ambitious brick-builders compete for a chance to be named LEGO Masters in Season 2 of the FOX reality show. In the premiere, the teams are introduced and tasked with building a float for the first-ever LEGO Day Parade. Will Arnett hosts. Watch trailer. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

    DOCUSERIES FINALE: Larry Krasner looks to the future in the Philly D.A. finale, which follows the embattled district attorney as he recruits law students to join his crusade for criminal justice reform. 9:00 PM ET on PBS

    NEW EPISODE: School is back in session on Cruel Summer, but the consequences of Jeanette (Chiara Aurelia) and Kate’s (Olivia Holt) deception continue to reverberate in the hallways. Watch preview. 10:00 PM ET on Freeform

    NEW EPISODE: When Lois (Elizabeth Tulloch) reaches a breaking point, Clark (Tyler Hoechlin) encourages her to reach out for help in an all-new Superman & Lois. Meanwhile, Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) finds himself in a dangerous situation, and Kyle (Erik Valdez) pushes Sarah (India Navarette) to audition for the school musical.     SERIES FINALE: ABC brings Mike Tyson’s story into the present day in the second and final installment of Mike Tyson: The Knockout. Part 2 explores Tyson’s 1992 rape conviction, his boxing comeback and ear-biting incident, and his polarizing legacy. Watch trailer. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    DOCUMENTARY: Hulu welcomes Pride month with Changing the Game, a feature documentary about transgender inclusion in sports.
