    Drama series receive top billing in a jam-packed weekend that brings the premieres of Justin Theroux’s The Mosquito Coast, Pose Season 3 and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Season 6, and more. Plus, settle in for an action-packed movie night with Michael B. Jordan’s Tom Clancy adaptation No Remorse.

    Also this weekend: Starz premieres The Girlfriend Experience Season 3, MacGyver embarks upon his final mission, and CNN dives into The Story of Late Night in a new docuseries. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY APRIL 30

    SERIES PREMIERE: Justin Theroux keeps it in the family with Apple’s The Mosquito Coast, based on his uncle Paul Theroux’s celebrated novel. The high-stakes drama centers on Allie Fox (Theroux), an idealist who becomes disillusioned with American corruption and takes his family on the run to Mexico.     ORIGINAL MOVIE: Michael B. Jordan’s long-gestating Tom Clancy adaptation Without Remorse finally hits the small screen this weekend after a lengthy COVID-19 delay. Written by Taylor Sheridan and Will Staples, the film follows an elite Navy SEAL (Jordan) who uncovers an international conspiracy while seeking justice for the murder of his pregnant wife.     SERIES FINALE: When MacGyver (Lucas Till) and Riley (Tristin Mays) wake up in a cornfield with no recollection of how they got there, the duo sets out to unravel the mystery in their last-ever mission. Watch promo. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    NBA BASKETBALL: Following NFL draft coverage, ESPN will transition over to basketball with two NBA on ESPN matchups:

    • Golden State Warriors vs. Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center at 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT
    • Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center at 10:00 PM ET/7:00 PM PT

    ENCORE PRESENTATION: It had only happened 37 times in the show's 45 year history, but Nick Jonas made it 38 when pulled double duty as both host and musical guest in this Saturday Night Live repeat from February. The show returns live next weekend with Elon Musk set to host11:30 PM ET on NBC
