HBO's Insecure Wraps Its Fourth Season More Vital Than Ever

    While Insecure's fourth season was in the can long before the death of George Floyd brought new vigor to the Black Lives Matter movement, its portrayal of the resilience of people of color amid the struggle has never been more vital.The show is one of several high profile series dropping their final episodes or signing off for the season (or midseason in the case of Billions) Sunday night. Also: ESPN revisits the homerun excitement of 1998, 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After returns for its fifth season, and British crime drama Marcella drops a new season on Netflix. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:


    CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie premiere is The Good Liar. The 2019 thriller follows a cat and mouse swindle in which the cat, professional con man Roy Courtnay (Ian McKellen) comes to realize the mouse, widowed millionaire Betty McLeish (Helen Mirren) is coming after him with a knife and fork.     FINAL SEASON: The final season of Alexia & Katie (Paris Berelc and Isabel May) hits Netflix today, with the girls returning to school for their senior year. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    MADE FOR TV MOVIE: Meteorologist Leah (Cindy Busby) is fed up with love, swearing off romantic pursuits to focus on her career, but when she gets a gander at her hunky new neighbor (Christopher Russel) she begins to suspect there's Love in the Forecast after all.     MADE FOR TV MOVIE: Detective Maxine Peyont (Melissa Archer) investigates a murder tied to an illicit website in Their Killer Affair. When she begins finding interconnected charms on a string of corpses, she quickly realizes a serial killer is on the loose. 8:00 PM ET on Lifetime


    SEASON FINALE: Molly (Yvonne Orji) takes Andrew (Alexander Hodge) to an event with her coworkers on the season finale of Insecure, but the evening doesn't go as planned. Later, a friend calls with upsetting news. Watch the preview. 10:20 PM ET on HBO

    DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: ESPN's wraps a stellar run of installments of its venerable documentary series with 30 for 30: Long Gone Summer, which returns to the heady days of 1998, when Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa were racing to see which of them would beat Roger Marris' record for 61 home runs in a season.     SEASON PREMIERE: The British crime series Marcella is back for its third season on Netflix as Marcella Backland (Anna Friel) continues doing what she does best: Hunting down killers. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    MIDSEASON FINALE: With production halted by the coronavirus, Billions airs an unplanned midseason finale following Axe (Damian Lewis) as he makes his latest big move. Meanwhile, a risky decisions puts Chuck's (Paul Giamatti) new endeavor in jeopardy. 9:00 PM ET on Showtime

    SEASON PREMIERE: The fifth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After finds Larissa facing an uncertain future in the United States, while Kalani and Asuelu discuss a change of plans. Watch the trailer. 8:00 PM ET on TLC

    SERIES FINALE: The series finale of I Know This Much is True sees a lifetime of hard feelings between Dominick (Mark Ruffalo) and Ray (John Procaccino) come to a head in a very public way. 9:00 PM ET on HBO
