With Heidi Klum returning to the judging panel alongside newcomer Sofia Vergara, the summer of 2020 was supposed to be a rebuilding year for America's Got Talent. Then came the coronavirus, which shut down production midway through the auditions. While tonight's season premiere was shot pre-shutdown in late February, like Idol and The Voice before it, AGT now plans to continue production remotely in the coming weeks after it runs out of pre-taped episodes. Also today: World of Dance returns for its fourth season, Hannah Gadsby takes on her haters, and Stargirl learns more about her past. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

SEASON PREMIERE: Nothing — not even a global pandemic — will stand in the way of America's Got Talent. Future weeks will see an adapted format as the show transitions to remotely-shot episodes, but tonight's season opener (which was shot earlier this year) should give us a taste of what could have been. Watch the trailer. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

SEASON PREMIERE: Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, and NE-YO return to the judge's table for the fourth season of World of Dance. Tonight's premiere sees a challenge worthy of every dancer's Flashdance fantasies as the contestants are asked to strut their stuff in an empty warehouse. Watch the trailer. 10:00 PM ET on NBC

STANDUP SPECIAL: Following the success of her breakout special Nanette, Hannah Gadsby is back with Hannah Gadsby: Douglas, in which the one of a kind performer discusses her sudden fame, and how she deals with haters. Read our review. Streaming on Netflix
