After Eight Seasons, Homeland Comes Full Circle in its Series Finale

    In a storyline that mirrors its very start, the final season of Homeland has seen its hero suspected of having become a brainwashed double-agent turned by the enemy. As the series comes to a close tonight, we expect to learn whether Carrie Mathison (Claire Danes) has in fact betrayed country and her mentor Saul Berenson (Mandy Patinkin), but this being Homeland, here's guessing the answer will take us somewhere unexpected. Also tonight: a Penny Dreadful series pursues a killer in the City of Angels, American Idol airs its first remote episode, and Villanelle returns to London on Killing Eve. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Sunday:

    SERIES FINALE: The stakes have never been higher on Homeland, as the series signs off with an episode that promises to reveal the intertwined fates of Carrie, Saul and the world as we know it. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on Showtime
