The Great American Baking Show Cooks Up a New Season of Holiday Treats

The American cousin of The Great British Baking Show is back with a new batch of good-natured amateur bakers as The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition returns for its fifth season on ABC. Also tonight: the Giants take on the Ravens, new holiday-themed episodes of Mom, Superstore, Evil, and more. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

SEASON PREMIERE: Paul Hollywood is once again joined by Sherry Yard, Emma (Baby Spice) Bunting, and Anthony "Spice" Adams for The Great American Baking Show: Holiday Edition. The show will air two back-to-back episodes Thursday nights through early Januaray at 9:00 PM ET on ABC

NEW EPISODE: The Superstore crew celebrates the holidays as only they can, with Amy, Dina and Cheyenne in search of the perfect Christmas tree, while Mateo, Garrett and Glenn compete to see who can sell an unsellable item. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

NEW EPISODE: The holidays take their toll in a new episode of Mom as Bonnie (Allison Janney) is forced to relive painful Christmas memories  when Christy recounts tales from her childhood to Bonnie's sponsee, Patty. 9:00 PM ET on CBS

NEW EPISODE: The paranormal investigators on Evil are called upon to investigate an insidious earworm of a Christmas song that’s spreading among an increasing number of students.  10:00 PM ET on CBS

SEASON FINALE: Justin Timberlake joins Ellen DeGeneres for night three of Ellen's Greatest Night of Giveaways. The final installment sees Ellen and friends surprising some well-deserving individuals with life-changing gifts for the holidays. 8:00 PM ET on NBC
 
SPORTS: Tonight's Thursday Night Football pits the New York Giants against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium. 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on Fox

HOLIDAY SPECIAL: When last we saw comedian Jack Whitehall and his father, they were taking a road trip across America in Travels With My Father. In Jack Whitehall: Christmas With My Father, the comedian brings his old man onstage in London for an evening of holiday laughs and celebrity appearances. Watch the preview. Streaming on Netflix
