High School Musical: The Musical: The Series Gets a Multi-Channel Launch

The Mandalorian may be getting most of the press ahead of Disney+'s debut next week, but there's another series on the platform's launch slate that Disney is clearly hoping will attract subscribers when the new service launches. High School Musical: The Musical: The Series gets a multi-channel sneak peek tonight on ABC, The Disney Channel, and Freeform before it launches as a Disney+ exclusive on November 12.

SERIES PREMIERE:  When new drama teacher Miss Jenn (Kate Reinders) begins work at the real-life school where the High School Musical films were shot, she decides to stage a performance of High School Musical: The Musical. The result is High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, a mockumentary following the stage production's high shool cast members through every step of the show's very meta production. The show's creator/showrunner Tim Federle sat down with Primetimer's Kevin O'Keefe and gave us this preview.  8:00 PM ET on ABC/Disney/Freeform

MOVIE PREMIERE: A snowstorm on Christmas Eve provides the perfect backdrop for holiday romance in Netflix's romantic comedy Let It Snow.
