Another major star is joining the Star Wars universe — Jude Law.

Lucasfilm announced during Thursday's Star Wars Celebration that the Oscar-nominated actor will headline Skeleton Crew, the latest in Disney+'s growing lineup of spinoffs. The show is described as having a similar tone to the classic Amblin coming-of-age adventure films of the 1980s and will be set in the reconstruction era after the events of Return of the Jedi. Disney+'s The Mandalorian also takes place in the same time period, known as the New Republic era.

Skeleton Crew was confirmed to be in the works when an April Vanity Fair story mentioned the series' pseudonym, Grammar Rodeo, a reference to an episode of The Simpsons in which Bart Simpson and his friends rent a car with fake IDs. A casting notice for the show has been posted, calling for four children, ages 11-12, implying that the series will feature a group of kids on a galactic journey.

Additional details about the plot and Law's role have not yet been released. The script will be written by Chris Ford, who wrote Spider-Man: Homecoming, and directed by Jon Watts, director of the Spider-Man trilogy.
