Netflix successfully petitions the TV Academy to allow Black Mirror: Smithereens to compete for the TV movie Emmy

Last year, the TV Academy changed the rules to require TV movies to run at least 75 minutes. Black Mirror: Smithereens is 70 minutes. Season 5 of Black Mirror was in a tough spot because it only had three episodes -- not enough for the drama series race. It was also ineligible for the limited series race because each episode told a different story with a different cast.
