Life magazine's iconic photos will be used as inspiration for a kids' TV series

Life for Kids "will use images from America’s preeminent picture magazine, Life, as a jumping-off point to bring history to life in a new, fun, engaging way," according to Deadline. "Each animated episode presents a true story from Life’s archive, exploring topics of sports, space, arts, world exploration, natural disasters, and technology." The weekly Life magazine was one of the most important American magazines from 1936 to 1972, before becoming a monthly magazine through 2000.
