Griffin says she blames SNL boss Michaels, who “could have just stepped up and done anything” to help her. She said on The Daily Beast's The Last Laugh podcast that Baldwin reached out to her after her 2017 Trump beheading controversy and told her he and Lorne Michaels would like her to be in a sketch about the incident. “Finally, it just kind of came and went,” said Griffin of the offer. “I’m not blaming Alec, because I really do think he had good intentions. I do blame Lorne.”
