HBO orders David Simon miniseries The Plot Against America, based on the Philip Roth novel

Simon and his The Wire collaborator Ed Burns are reteaming for the six-part alternate history series that imagines what would've happened if Nazi sympathizer Charles Lindbergh had become president of the United States and turned the country toward fascism in the 1930s and 1940s. The story is told through the eyes of a working-class Jewish family in New Jersey.
