Daniel Dae Kim congratulated on The Hot Zone: Anthrax becoming his first TV lead role after 31 years as an actor

“Hardly the biggest news given what’s going on in the world today,” Kim tweeted Wednesday following Nat Geo's announcement. “But after 31 years of working in TV, this is my first series lead.” Kim received congratulations from Crazy Rich Asians screenwriter Adele Lim, as well as Ken Jeong. But as writer Jeff Yang pointed out, "The fact that it took three decades for this to happen is stunning. Then again, it should’ve been the case for Hawaii Five-0."
