CBS hopes new CBS Evening News anchor Jeff Glor will lead the newscast into the digital future

The 42-year-old Glor’s mandate as he takes over the anchor chair tonight is to attract younger viewers through digital means, including CBSN. “Our entire newsroom needs a jolt of a new reality,” says Steve Capus, executive producer of the CBS Evening News. “Our output is being consumed a lot of different ways and if we think about it too narrowly, we’re missing a big segment of the audience.”
