HBO's Transhood Trailer Shows Young People In Transition are Human, "Not Some Exotic Species"

"Being a teenager is hard enough on its own. Going through puberty as someone you're not is a little harder."

The new HBO documentary series Transhood spotlights young people's struggles with finding their true identities. Childhood has its usual traumas, but transhood adds new levels of challenge, especially when friends and family aren't supportive. 

"What I really hope is that people realize that we're human. We're not like some exotic species. We have human emotions. That's what matters."

Transhood premieres November 12 on HBO.
