Peacock Explores Jenni Rivera's Murder, ABC Goes All-In On Game Shows

    Television delivers a wide range of options today as Peacock bows true-crime docuseries Who Killed Jenni Rivera?, ABC delivers a triple-dose of game show fun (with a few holiday twists), and stars gather for the 2022 People’s Choice Awards.

    Plus, country music drama Monarch reaches its Season 1 finale, HBO explores allegations of abuse within a Mexican megachurch, Liam Gallagher takes the stage in Paramount+ documentary Knebworth 22, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    Who Killed Jenni Rivera?: Complete docuseries. Peacock’s True-Crime Tuesday slate expands with this three-part series about the life and mysterious death of award-winning Latin superstar Jenni Rivera. The series raises questions about what caused Rivera’s fatal 2012 plane crash and the events leading up to it. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

    Celebrity Wheel of Fortune: Special night. ABC’s Sunday night game show block takes over a new night. The three-hour event begins with Sasheer Zamata, Jack Black, and Kal Penn spinning the wheel for charity. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    Press Your Luck’s Holiday Extravaganza: Special night. In a holiday-themed episode, merry players compete to outwit the WHAMMY and take home festive prizes. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

    The $100,000 Pyramid: Special night. Michael Strahan oversees as Jason Alexander and Bobby Moynihan work to help their partners win the six-figure prize. Later, Rosie O’Donnell and Pete Holmes face off in the word-association game. 10:00 PM ET on ABC

    2022 People’s Choice Awards: Special presentation. Just a few months after his big night at the Emmys, Kenan Thompson hosts the People’s Choice Awards, held live in Santa Monica, California. Ryan Reynolds will receive The People’s Icon Award, the biggest award of the night, while Lizzo will be honored with The People’s Champion Award for her commitment to diversity and body inclusivity. Before the award show, E! will broadcast two hours of red carpet coverage. 9:00 PM ET on NBC and E!

    Monarch: Season 1 finale. As an arrest is made in the murder, Albie (Trace Adkins) encourages his family to come together, while Jamie (Damon Dayoub) opens up about his past and Kayla (Meagan Holder) goes into early labor. The multi-generational drama has yet to be renewed for a second season. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on FOX

    Unveiled: Surviving La Luz Del Mundo: Docuseries premiere. Award-winning filmmaker Jennifer Tiexiera (P.S. Burn This Letter Please) exposes the horrifying story of Christian church La Luz del Mundo and the sexual abuse that scores of members, many of them minors, say they have suffered at the hands of its successive leaders, known as the “Apostles.” Two episodes air tonight, followed by the final installment tomorrow.     Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22: Original documentary. Over 25 years after he first played Knebworth Park Hertfordshire with Oasis, frontman Liam Gallagher returns to perform solo for 170,000 fans across two sold out nights. Cameras capture Gallagher as he prepares for his performance and reflects on how far he’s come since 1996. In addition to the doc, Gallagher’s entire concert will stream on Paramount+. Watch trailer.     Sebastian Maniscalco: Is It Me?: Comedy special. Comedian, actor, best-selling author, and podcast host Sebastian Maniscalco brings his signature comedy style to Las Vegas as he discusses his wife’s restaurant etiquette, the harsh realities of preschool, and our bizarre everyday behavior.     The Resident: Season 6 fall finale. Conrad (Matt Czuchry) comes face to face with Nic’s dad, Kyle (Corbin Bernsen), after 5 years of no contact when he comes into Chastain with an extremely low heart rate. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on FOX
