    Streaming brings the multiplex home this weekend with a host of high profile new movies, including Dakota Johnson’s Persuasion, father-daughter dramedy Don’t Make Me Go, and Disney+ sequel Zombies 3.

    Plus, Nathan Fielder returns to television in HBO’s The Rehearsal, Freevee gets into the original film game with Love Accidentally, and Prime Video bows reality series Forever Summer: Hamptons. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY JULY 15

    Persuasion: Original film. Anne Elliot (Dakota Johnson) is an unconforming woman with modern sensibilities, but when Frederick Wentworth (Cosmo Jarvis), a dashing man she once sent away, crashes back into her life, Anne must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart. The Jane Austen adaptation also stars Henry Golding, Richard E. Grant, and Suki Waterhouse. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Don’t Make Me Go: Original film. When single father Max (John Cho) discovers he has a terminal disease, he tries to cram in as much time with his teenage daughter Wally (Mia Isaac) as possible. Max convinces Wally to accompany him on a road trip for his 20th college reunion, where he secretly hopes to reunite her with her mother who left them long ago. Watch trailer.     Zombies 3: Original film. It’s Zed (Milo Manheim) and Addison’s (Meg Donnelly) senior year, and things are better than ever — until a new group of extraterrestrial beings arrive in Seabrook, looking for something other than friendly competition. The film serves as the third and final installment in the Zombies trilogy, which first premiered on Disney Channel in 2018. Watch trailer. Streaming on Disney+

    The Rehearsal: Series premiere. Nathan Fielder brings his offbeat comedy to HBO as he recruits a construction crew and a legion of actors to help ordinary people rehearse life’s biggest moments. Watch trailer. 11:00 PM ET on HBO

    Love Accidentally: Original film. Brenda Song and Aaron O’Connell headline this rom-com about rival co-workers who strike up an anonymous relationship via text and find themselves falling in love.     Forever Summer: Hamptons: Complete first season. A group of college kids from different backgrounds gear up for the most exciting summer of their lives in Prime Video’s new reality series.     Days of Our Lives: Beyond Salem: Season 2 finale. Another season of Peacock’s globe-spanning soap spinoff comes to an end after five twisty episodes. Streaming on Peacock

    Trixie Motel: Season 1 finale. Drag star Trixie Mattel and her boyfriend David put the finishing touches on their Palm Springs getaway.Streaming on Discovery+

    Remarriage & Desires: Complete first season. After losing everything to her ex-husband’s unscrupulous mistress, a widow vows to get revenge, but the women become tangled in more ways than one when an elite matchmaking service enters the fray. The K-Drama stars Kim Hee-seon, Lee Hyun-wook, Jung Eugene, and Cha Ji-yeon. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Planet Shark: Complete docuseries. Nat Geo’s SharkFest continues with this three-part series that unlocks the secrets of the greatest predator on Earth and showcases newly discovered species of sharks. Three episodes air back-to-back tonight beginning at 8:00 PM ET on National Geographic Channel

    Transplant: Season 2 finale. With Bash’s (Hamza Haq) future on the line, he and Dr. Bishop (John Hannah) try to save each other. Elsewhere, Mags (Laurence Lebeouf) makes a big decision about her career, and June (Ayisha Issa) makes an unexpected commitment. The Canadian medical drama has been renewed for a third season at CTV, but NBC has yet to announce whether it will air the new season in the U.S. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    The Final Straw: Encore presentation. ABC is re-airing the series premiere of its new Jenga-like game show, which requires contestants to pull items out of huge tipping towers made of various objects, from basketballs to kitchen appliances. Hosted by Abbott Elementary’s Janelle James. Read our review. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

    2022 World Track & Field Championships: NBC brings viewers all the action from the World Track & Field Championships, held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon. Major events today include the women’s 10,000m, men’s 100m, and women’s shot put. Coverage airs in two, two-hour blocks. 3:00 PM ET/12:00 PM PT and 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT on NBC

    Major League Baseball: Baseball Night in America offers two marquee matchups at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT on FOX:

    SUNDAY JULY 17

    Blood & Treasure: Season 2 premiere. After finding themselves at the center of a 2,000-year-old battle for the cradle of civilization, antiquities expert Danny McNamara (Matt Barr) and art thief Lexi Vaziri (Sofia Pernas) find themselves on a new hunt to recover one of the greatest lost treasures of Asia. The globe-trotting action-adventure moves to Paramount+ after airing its first season on CBS in 2019. Two episodes drop today. Streaming on Paramount+

    Snapped: Season 31 premiere. Oxygen follows a new group of women who have committed or attempted murder in its long-running true crime docuseries. First up this season: the case of Shirley Nelson, who shot her estranged husband Ronald Nelson, the business manager of Peanuts cartoonist Charles Schultz. 6:00 PM ET on Oxygen

    Who Do You Think You Are?: New episode. Nick Offerman traces his family tree, uncovering ties to the Revolutionary War and the story of his 8x great-grandparents, who ran a successful tavern in 1700s New York. 7:00 PM ET on NBC

    Celebrity Family Feud: New episode. Hip-hop group Salt-N-Pepa competes against the cast of the The Proud Family to win money for charity. In the second game, the casts of Peacock’s Bel Air and Saved by the Bell face off. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    Jaws vs. Boats: Special presentation. Marine biologists Mike Heithaus and Sara Casareto set out to uncover why there are so many viral videos of sharks attacking boats and what’s causing this behavior in this SharkFest special. 8:00 PM ET on National Geographic Channel

    Lies My Sister Told Me: TV movie. Tracy is so devastated by the death of her father that she becomes psychotic and is institutionalized. When her identical twin sister visits, Tracy drugs her, assumes her identity and escapes, hell-bent on taking advantage of her freedom, but it turns out her sister’s life is anything but a fairytale.     We Hunt Together: New episode. Haunted by visions from her past, Freddy (Hermione Corfield) makes a deadly confession which leaves her with no way out. 8:00 PM ET on Showtime

    Riverdale: New episode. Archie (KJ Apa) and the gang gather intel about Percival (guest star Chris O’Shea) so they can better understand where he came from and use that to their advantage.
