Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder Hit the Road in Hacks Season 2

    Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her unlikely writing partner Ava (Hannah Einbinder) take to the tour bus today as Hacks returns for its second season on HBO Max. Also today: streaming offers a wealth of options as The Kardashians, The Offer, Under the Banner of Heaven, and more shows drop new episodes. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Thursday:

    Hacks: Season 2 premiere. The dark mentorship between legendary Las Vegas comic Deborah Vance (Jean Smart) and her young, entitled writer Ava (Hannah Einbinder) continues to evolve as the two travel across the country workshopping Deborah’s act. But after making a very costly mistake, Ava works to keep Deborah in the dark for fear of losing her job. Two episodes drop today. Read our review. Streaming on HBO Max

    The Kardashians: New episode. As Kourtney figures out how to handle Scott, Kim takes the bar exam, and Kris hosts a birthday bash for the family. Watch preview. Streaming on Hulu

    The Offer: New episode. Ruddy (Miles Teller) and Bettye (Juno Temple) combat logistical nightmares with principal photography quickly approaching. As the mob continues to ingrain itself in the making of the film, tensions rise between Colombo (Giovanni Ribisi) and notorious hot head Crazy Joe Gallo (Joseph Russo). Streaming on Paramount+

    Under the Banner of Heaven: New episode. The investigation intensifies after Pyre (Andrew Garfield) uncovers details of the Lafferty family’s fundamentalist beliefs, sparking a search for missing the Lafferty brothers, Ron (Sam Worthington) and Dan (Wyatt Russell), and putting Pyre at odds with his own church leaders.     Made for Love: New episodes. Hazel’s (Cristin Milioti) efforts to save her father’s life intensify in two new episodes. Streaming on HBO Max

    Candy: New episode. As the truth closes in on Candy Montgomery (Jessica Biel) and her family, Alan (Pablo Schreiber) deals with the fallout from the previous day. Streaming on Hulu

    The Staircase: New episode. The prosecution lays out its case against Michael Peterson (Colin Firth). At home, Michael rallies his family, but creating a united front proves to be difficult. Streaming on HBO Max

    Jailhouse Redemption: Docuseries premiere. After spending decades in law enforcement, Chesterfield, Virginia Sheriff Karl Leonard creates the Heroin Addiction Recovery Program (HARP) to help forge a path to recovery for addicts in the county’s two jails. This four-part series follows Leonard and his team as they attempt to change a broken system and prepare incarcerated people to reenter society. Streaming on Discovery+

    Law & Order: New episode. Bernard (Anthony Anderson) and Cosgrove (Jeffrey Donovan) sift through fact and fiction to find the killer of a young Manhattan socialite. Meanwhile, the murder takes a turn that becomes personal for Price (Hugh Dancy) and puts Maroun (Odelya Halevi) into a compromising situation. Followed by new episodes of Law & Order: SVU and Organized Crime. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    Grey’s Anatomy: New episode. A former patient (guest star Cedric Sanders finds himself in the ER with his pregnant wife, while Bailey (Chandra Wilson) receives an enticing offer from Nick (Scott Speedman). Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on ABC

    Welcome to Flatch: New episode (new time). To increase their social media following, Kelly (Chelsea Holmes) and Shrub (Sam Straley) plan to record a surprise reunion with Father Joe (Seann William Scott) and another former member of his religious boy band, A-men. Beginning tonight, the comedy airs a half hour earlier for the remaining three episodes of the season. 9:00 PM ET on FOX

    Atlanta: New episode. The acclaimed comedy continues to play with format and tone in a new episode written and directed by Donald Glover. 10:00 PM ET on FX

    Commit or Quit with Judge Lynn Toler: Series premiere. Couples in crisis turn to Judge Lynn Toler for help deciding whether to get married or break up for good in this new WE tv series. Episodes will also stream on the ALLBLK streaming service every Monday following their linear debut. Watch trailer. 10:00 PM ET on WE tv
