Renée Zellweger Courts Controversy in Dateline Drama The Thing About Pam

    Somehow it took thirty years, but Dateline NBC enters the docudrama realm tonight with its first-ever scripted series. Narrated by Keith Morrison, The Thing About Pam stars Renée Zellweger as Pam Hupp, the real-life subject of five Dateline episodes beginning in 2014.

    Also today: The Bachelor goes big for Fantasy Suites, Taylor Tomlinson nabs her second Netflix special, HBO revisits the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall, and more. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    The Thing About Pam: Limited series premiere. Renée Zellweger stars in this six-part docudrama about the 2011 murder of Betsy Faria. In a widely-criticized move, Zellweger wore a fat suit to play Pam Hupp, the last person to see Faria alive and the woman at the center of a diabolical, headline-making scheme.     The Bachelor: Special night. ABC’s two-night Bachelor spectacular continues with the Fantasy Suites, an evening of romance that the show promises will “change everything forever.” Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    Taylor Tomlinson: Look at You: Comedy special. The stand-up comic riffs on her struggles with mental health, grief, and dating in her second Netflix special, filmed at the historic Wilbur Theater in Boston in December 2021. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Undercurrent: The Disappearance of Kim Wall: Original documentary. Director Erin Lee Carr helms this two-part documentary about the murder of Swedish journalist Kim Wall. Wall's disappearance was the subject of the Scandinavian crime drama The Investigation, which aired on HBO last year. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on HBO and HBO Max 

    This Is Us: New episode. Rebecca (Mandy Moore) prepares to make a big announcement at Thanksgiving dinner. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

    American Auto: Season 1 finale. When a TV newsmagazine films a segment on Katherine (Ana Gasteyer), the team struggles to avoid the show's “gotcha” questions and portray her in a positive light. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    Grand Crew: Season 1 finale. Wyatt (Justin Cunningham) gets into an art show and asks Sherm (Carl Tart) to be his subject. Elsewhere, Noah (Echo Kellum) doesn’t know if Simone (Ashleigh Morghan) is ready to take the next step, but Nicky (Nicole Byer) has a plan. 8:30 PM ET on NBC

    FBI: New episode. The team rushes to investigate an extremist gun group after an anti-gun lobby building is bombed, with the promise of other bombings to come. Followed by new episodes of FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    A Perfect World: A Deadly Game: Complete docuseries. Peacock kicks off its new True Crime Tuesday slate with a two-part series about a group of friends who are alerted to a real life murder in their tight-knit gaming community. Watch trailer. Streaming on Peacock

    Last One Standing: Complete Season 1. Murderville meets Whose Line Is It Anyway? in this unscripted Japanese series about comedians who must land improvised jokes in a drama, or they’re kicked off the show. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    I Can See Your Voice: Season 2 finale (special night). Vanessa Lachey and Jim Jeffries stop by to guess whether the final singer of Season 2 is good or bad. The episode culminates in a duet performance with RHOA star Kandi Burruss. 9:00 PM ET on FOX
