    After topping our December streaming rankings, HBO Max is again coming on strong this weekend with the star-packed fifth and final season of Search Party, and the season premieres of HBO's Euphoria, and The Righteous Gemstones. Elsewhere, the George Clooney-directed Ben Affleck starrer The Tender Bar lands on Amazon, FOX bows Freshman comedy Pivoting, and a new Netflix reality series goes inside a TikTok Hype House. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY JANUARY 7

    Search Party: Complete fifth season (series finale). Following her near-death experience, Dory (Alia Shawkat) enters a very public business partnership with a charismatic billionaire (Jeff Goldblum) and decides to fold her old friends Portia (Meredith Hagner), Elliott (John Early), and Drew (John Reynolds) into the venture.     Hype House: Complete first season. TikTok celebrities Kouvr Annon, Nikita Dragun, Sienna Mae Gomez, Chase Hudson, Larri Merritt, Thomas Petrou, Alex Warren, and Jack Wright show off a different side of themselves in Netflix’s all-access docuseries. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    The Tender Bar: Original film. George Clooney directs Tye Sheridan and Ben Affleck in this drama about a fatherless boy growing up in the bar owned by his colorful Uncle Charlie. Opened in theaters December 17th. Watch trailer. Streaming on Amazon Prime Video

    El Deafo: Special presentation. Pamela Adlon, Jane Lynch, and Chuck Nice lend their voices to Cece Bell’s best-selling graphic memoir in this three-part animated series about a young girl (voiced by Lexi Finigan) who loses her hearing and finds her inner superhero.     RuPaul’s Drag Race: Season premiere. 14 new queens vie for the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar” in the VH1 staple’s fourteenth season, which features the show’s first-ever cisgender male contestant, Maddy Morphosis.     Undercover Boss: Season premiere. The CBS series returns with nine new episodes, the first of which sees the boss of College HUNKS Hauling Junk & Moving work a covert operation on his employees. 8:00 PM ET on CBS

    2022 Toyota U.S. Figure Skating Championships: The country’s best figure skaters gather in Nashville, Tennessee for the final qualifying competition before the Beijing Olympics. A new women’s free skate champion will be crowned tonight, with subsequent finals taking place throughout the weekend. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    Love During Lockup: Series premiere. This new installment in the Love After Lockup/Life After Lockup franchise documents the drama that unfolds when ordinary people decide to pursue relationships with prison inmates. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on WE TV

    NFL Football: Monday Night Football expands to Saturday afternoon with back-to-back matchups airing live on ESPN, with a special simulcast on ABC and ESPN+:

    • Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles 8:15 PM ET/5:15 PM PT

    Labor, Lies and Murder: TV movie. Pregnant Hailey hires a doula to assist with her home birth, but when she learns alarming news about the woman, the fight is on. Stars Brooke Burfitt and Jason Burkey. 8:00 PM ET on Lifetime

    Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer: Encore presentation. FOX re-airs Thursday's two-hour premiere of its revival that sees one millionaire and one regular guy vying for the hearts of twenty single women. Watch trailer. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

    BTK: Confessions of a Serial Killer: Docuseries premiere. A&E provides unprecedented access into the mind of the BTK serial killer Dennis Rader in this four-episode docuseries. Two episodes air tonight, followed by the final two tomorrow night. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on A&E

    The Wedding Veil: TV movie. Longtime college friends discover a mysterious, antique veil fabled to unite its bearer with her true love in this first installment of a new Hallmark movie trilogy starring Lacey Chabert, Autumn Reeser, and Alison Sweeney.     New York Homicide: Timeslot premiere. Oxygen’s exploration of New York City’s most chilling murder cases moves into its usual timeslot following last week’s premiere. 9:00 PM ET on Oxygen

    Saturday Night Live: Encore presentation. Taylor Swift got raves for her riveting 10-minute performance of "All Too Well" in this November episode hosted by Jonathan Majors. 11:30 PM ET on NBC 

    SUNDAY JANUARY 9

    Euphoria: Season premiere. After suffering a relapse, Rue (Zendaya) works through her complicated feelings for Jules (Hunter Schafer) and becomes further involved in the drug trade. Meanwhile, their high school classmates continue to balance the pressures of love, identity, and trauma. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    The Righteous Gemstones: Season premiere. The Gemstones find themselves threatened by outsiders from the past and present, including a rival Evangelical couple played by Eric Andre and Jessica Lowe, in Season 2 of the acclaimed comedy.     Call Me Kat: Season premiere (special night and time). When a celebrity charity golf tournament comes to Louisville, it brings the cast of Blossom together for a long-awaited reunion. Featuring guest appearances from Joey Lawrence, Jenna von Oy, and Michael Stoyanov. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on FOX

    Pivoting: Series premiere (special night and time). Following the death of their childhood friend, three women make a series of impulsive and ill-advised decisions that will alter their lives, and their bond, forever.     Sunday Night Football: The Las Vegas Raiders host the Los Angeles Chargers in the final SNF broadcast of the season. 8:20 PM ET/5:20 PM PT on NBC

    All Creatures Great and Small: Season premiere. PBS' immensely comforting drama returns for a new season of heartwarming cases, lighthearted antics, and charming romance. In Season 2, Tristan (Callum Woodhouse) adjusts to his new role in the practice, Mrs. Hall (Anna Madeley) helps Siegfried (Samuel West) work on his patience, and James (Nicholas Ralph) finally puts his feelings for Helen (Rachel Shenton) into action.
