ABC's Live In Front of a Studio Audience Tackles Facts of Life and Diff'rent Strokes

    Jimmy Kimmel and Norman Lear’s Emmy-winning Live in Front of a Studio Audience returns with another A-list cast tonight as Jennifer Aniston, Kevin Hart, Kathryn Hahn, and others perform classic episodes of The Facts of Life and Diff’rent Strokes live without a net. Also today: Kenan Thompson hosts the 2021 People’s Choice Awards, Nicole Byer bows her first Netflix special, and ABC debuts its new workplace comedy Abbott Elementary. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this Tuesday:

    Live in Front of a Studio Audience: Special presentation. A pair of beloved '80s sitcoms get the Live in Front of a Studio Audience treatment as Jennifer Aniston, Gabrielle Union, Kathryn Hahn, and Allison Tolman take on The Facts of Life, while Diff’rent Strokes stars John Lithgow as Mr. Drummond, Kevin Hart as Arnold, and Damon Wayans as Willis. Ann Dowd will portray Mrs. Garrett on both. 8:00 PM ET on ABC

    2021 People’s Choice Awards: Award show. Kenan Thompson emcees the fan-voted award show featuring 40 awards categories across movies, TV, music, and pop culture. The film side is led by F9, while Marvel’s Loki tops the TV field with five total nominations. 9:00 PM ET on NBC and E!

    Nicole Byer: BBW (Big Beautiful Weirdo): Comedy special. The Emmy-nominated Nailed It! host riffs on everything from being basically a vegan to hooking up during lockdown in her first Netflix standup special. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Abbott Elementary: Series premiere. A group of passionate teachers and a tone-deaf principal at a Philadelphia public school fight to help their students succeed in this new new workplace comedy. ABC is calling tonight's broadcast a "special premiere"; the series returns with regular episodes in January. Watch trailer. 9:30 PM ET on ABC

    The Slow Hustle: Original documentary. The Wire alum Sonja Sohn shines a light on corruption within the Baltimore Police Department in this documentary about the still-unsolved death of detective Sean Suitor, who was fatally shot in the line of duty in 2017. Watch trailer. 8:00 PM ET on HBO

    The Voice: The finale lineup is set as the Top 4 artists are revealed as safe by America’s votes, and the bottom four compete in the Instant Save. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    FBI International: Fall finale. When a group of Americans are among the victims of a bombing at a festival in Budapest, the team is brought in to find the perpetrators before they strike again. Elsewhere, Vo (Vinessa Vidotto) learns that her new beau has been injured in the blast, prompting her to re-evaluate what dating truly means while in the bureau. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on CBS

    Our Kind of People: Season finale. As Leah (Nadine Ellis) and Teddy (Joe Morton) deliver devastating news to Angela (Yaya DaCosta), Aunt Piggy (Debbi Morgan) confesses some of the secrets from her past, and Raymond (Morris Chestnut) experiences a life-changing confrontation. FOX isn’t expected to decide a Season 2 renewal until the spring, leaving the future of the freshman drama in limbo following tonight’s finale. Watch preview. 9:00 PM ET on FOX

    Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas: Jim Carrey plays the misanthropic Grinch, a solitary creature who tries to ruin Christmas by stealing gifts from nearby Whoville, in Ron Howard's 2000 adaptation of Dr. Seuss' beloved book of the same name. 8:20 PM ET on Freeform
