Locke & Key, Invasion, Insecure, and Curb Headline a Weekend of Premieres

    TV is offering up a bounty of fresh options this weekend, with new seasons of Locke & Key, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Insecure. the premiere of Apple TV+’s sci-fi drama Invasion, and TV movies galore. Plus, new episodes of Succession and The Morning Show, Jason Sudeikis returns to Saturday Night Live, and Hallmark begins its annual “Countdown to Christmas” event two months before the big day. Here’s what’s new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    FRIDAY OCTOBER 22

    Locke & Key: Complete second season. Siblings Tyler (Connor Jessup), Kinsey (Emilia Jones), and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) unlock more family secrets as they dig deeper into the power and mystery of the magical keys. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Invasion: Series premiere. Apple TV+ expands its sci-fi library with this new series about five ordinary people across the globe who try to make sense of an alien invasion.     Inside Job: Complete first season. In a world where every conspiracy theory is true, a shadow government organization works to keep things hideen — that is, until the company’s dysfunctional employees threaten to expose their efforts to the public. Lizzy Caplan, Christian Slater, and Clark Duke lead a stellar voice cast. Streaming on Netflix

    You, Me & The Christmas Trees: TV movie. Hallmark’s annual holiday movie season kicks off with a romance about an evergreen expert (Danica McKellar) who offers to help a Christmas tree farmer (Benjamin Ayres) when a mysterious illness befalls his family’s firs.     Adventure Beast: Complete first season. A brave zoologist, his spunky niece, and anxious assistant explore the world while saving wild beasts in what Netflix is dubbing an "educational" adult animated comedy. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Maya and the Three: Complete limited series. A spirited princess recruits three outcasts from distant lands on her quest to stop the vengeful God of War. The animated event features voice work from Zoe Saldaña, Gabriel Iglesias, Stephanie Beatriz, Diego Luna, Gael García Bernal, Queen Latifah, and more top talent. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    Little Big Mouth: Original film. Not to be confused with Nick Kroll’s animated comedy, this new South African rom-com follows a guitarist who takes refuge with a bookkeeper, her son, and her dad after he’s kicked out of his band. Watch trailer. Streaming on Netflix

    The Morning Show: TMS welcomes a new face, while Bradley (Reese Witherspoon) gets a surprise visitor. Streaming on Apple TV+

    NBA Basketball: The Brooklyn Nets travel to the City of Brotherly Love for a primetime matchup with the Philadelphia 76ers. 7:30 PM ET/4:30 PM PT on ESPN
