Alex Gibney Takes On Big Pharma in HBO Mega Doc Crime of the Century

    Master documentarian Alex Gibney (Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room, Going Clear: Scientology & the Prison of Belief, and The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley) takes Big Pharma to task for its role in America’s opioid epidemic in The Crime of the Century. Written and directed by Gibney, the two-part, two-night HBO doc suggests that greedy drug companies are largely responsible for a crisis that has claimed a half million lives in this century alone. Part 1 of The Crime of the Century debuts tonight on HBO, followed by Part 2 tomorrow night.

    DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: Alex Gibney takes no prisoners in The Crime of the Century, a two-part documentary that lays blame for the opioid epidemic at the feet of Big Pharma, political operatives, and loose government regulations. The HBO doc features sobering testimony from victims of opioid addiction, as well as interviews with whistleblowers and behind-the-scenes investigations. Watch trailer. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    BROADCAST PREMIERE: ABC continues its month-long Wonderful World of Disney event with the network broadcast premiere of Pixar's Finding Dory. The 2016 sequel to Finding Nemo sees Dory the forgetful fish (voiced by Ellen DeGeneres)  embark on an epic quest to find her mother and father.
