Dr. Seuss Gets the Live TV Musical Treatment in NBC's The Grinch Musical!

    As Primetimer's Joe Reid wrote yesterday, it's become more and more difficult to tell which Grinch is which when consulting the TV listings any given day during the holiday season. Adding to the confusion tonight is Dr. Seuss' the Grinch Musical!, a brand new staged production starring Matthew Morrison in the title role.

    Also tonight: The Masked Singer presents a new holiday special, The Great Holiday Light Fight returns for Season 8, and MTV rolls out a new spy-themed edition of The Challenge. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Wednesday:

    HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Glee alum Matthew Morrison slips into his finest green fur for NBC's staged production of Dr. Seuss' the Grinch Musical!, the network's new take on the old scallywag whose small heart grows three sizes in one day. Watch preview. 8:00 PM ET on NBC

    HOLIDAY SPECIAL: While we await next week's two-hour season finale, tonight's Masked Singer Holiday Sing-a-Long features this season's final three performing never-before-heard holiday songs with all-new animated clues, while the already unmasked celebrities join together to perform their favorite holiday jingles.     DOCUMENTARY PREMIERE: HBO's latest true crime doc Alabama Snake looks at the events leading up to October 4, 1991, when Darlene Summerford says her Pentecostal preacher husband Glenn tried to kill her by forcing her hand into a rattlesnake bed. Read our review. 9:00 PM ET on HBO

    HOLIDAY SPECIAL: It wasn't supposed to end like this, but the Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love Christmas Special will mark the end of the series, which Netflix canceled after this special was already in the can. Streaming on Netflix

    HOLIDAY SPECIAL: Like Ashley Garcia, The Big Show has also been canceled, making The Big Show Christmas Special the final sendoff for WWE Superstar Big Show's comedy series. Streaming on Netflix
