    Game-changers rule the day this Wednesday as two icons of the late 20th century take center stage on the small screen. First up, Julianne Moore lends her star power to The Glorias, Julie Taymor's new biopic looking at the life of legendary feminist Gloria Steinem. Next, Ryan Murphy prsents the filmed adaptation of 2018's all-star Broadway revival of The Boys in the Band, the groundbreaking gay drama that helped spark a cultural revolution. Also today: The NBA Finals tip-off om ABC, the new Netflix documentary American Murder revisits a horrifying crime, and former Fox News anchor Shepard Smith takes up residence on CNBC.     MOVIE PREMIERE: Originally scheduled to premiere in theaters this month, The Glorias bows today on Amazon instead. Written and directed by Julie Taymor (Frida), the film stars Juilianne Moore as the feminist icon Gloria Steinem.. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Prime Video

    BASKETBALL: Capping off a tumultuous season that was resumed under Mission Impossible-style logistical challenges, The NBA Finals are finally here, with Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat set to take on LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in Orlando. Game 1 tips off at 9:00 PM ET / 6:00 PM PT on ABC

    SPECIAL PRESENTATION: For the 13th year in a row, Jimmy Kimmel is bringing his act to primetime for Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night. This week's guests are set to include Jamie Foxx, Matthew McConaughey and Adam Sandler. Airs at 8:00 PM ET and following the NBA Finals on the West Coast on ABC

    SERIES PREMIERE: Jaws dropped last year when longtime Fox News anchor Shepard Smith concluded an episoxde of his show with the surprise announcement that he was leaving the network, effective immediately. Almost one year later, he's back with a new nightly news show on another network, as The News with Shepard Smith makes its debut on CNBC.
