    For fans of Syfy's cult hit Wynonna Earp, this weekend has been a long time coming. While the series was picked up for a fourth season back in 2018, it looked all but dead after the show's production company faced financial challenges and the cast was released from their contracts. Enter "The Earpers," the show's small but devoted fanbase whose unique campaign to save Wynonna Earp led to its resurrection. Also this weekend: the NBA Countdown gives basketball fans a taste of what they're craving, Epix writes a new chapter on Charles Manson, and HBO's Perry Mason finally heads to court. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    SATURDAY JULY 25

    SPECIAL PRESENTATION: The parade of Tiger King-inspired tv projects continues with Surviving Joe Exotic, an Animal Planet  special telling the stories of the animals at the center of the now-shuttered G.W. Zoo. The new doc features interviews with familiar Zoo employees and never-before-seen footage of Joe Exotic himself, shot months before his arrest in 2018.     SPORTS: With basketball set to return on July 30th, prepare for all the action by watching the NBA Countdown and following the seeding games from the NBA "bubble" at the ESPN World of Sports at Walt Disney World. 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT on ABC

    CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie premiere this week is Motherless Brooklyn. Edward Norton directs and stars in the tale of a detective in 1950s New York who attempts to solve his friend's murder while dealing with the symptoms of Tourette's Syndrome.
