Eric Andre Continues Pushing Buttons in His Netflix Standup Debut

    The star of The Eric Andre Show on Adult Swim makes his long-form standup debut on Netflix today, a special that features at least one joke about police brutality that apparently cut a little too close to the bone for some execs at the streaming giant. Also today: America's Got Talent stages a mini Modern Family reunion, Toni Morrison gets the American Masters treatment, and Bryant Gumbel examines the fallout of racial injustice and COVID-19 in the world of professional sports.     COMEDY SPECIAL: Comedian Eric Andre takes on the issues of the day in Eric Andre: Legalize Everything, including an extended takedown of the now cancelled show Cops, and its decades-long history of police brutality, racial discrimination, and bewildering soundtrack choices.     NEW EPISODE: The auditions continue as America's Got Talent heads into week five. Tonight is the first of several episodes taped in the very early stages of the pandemic after Heidi Klum fell ill. (She later tested negative for COVID-19.)
