Movie theaters in many states have now been closed for three months, forcing studios to postpone some of their biggest releases of the year, but some films, particularly those with strong streaming platforms at their disposal, are taking a different route. As Primetimer's Joe Reid writes today, the end result is yet another blurring of the line between movies and TV. Thirty-two years after the release of his groundbreaking debut, She's Gotta Have It, Spike Lee finally won his first Oscar for 2018's BlacKkKlansman, which makes today's Netflix release of his followup, Da 5 Bloods, a very big deal indeed. Adding to the multiplex feel of today's lineup, the kids film Artemis Fowl — directed by Kenneth Branagh — is also bypassing a theatrical run and debuting on Disney+. Also today: Bill Burr's F is For Family drops its fourth season, Hulu debuts a new series from the team behind Robot Chicken, and Amazon presents a dark new chapter of Into the Dark. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this Friday:

PREMIERE MOVIE: The latest Spike Lee joint is premiering right in viewers' living rooms. Da 5 Bloods follows four African-American Vietnam vets who return to Vietnam to search for their fallen commanding officer and recover a fortune in gold that they left behind during their tour. The film stars Chadwick Boseman (Black Panther), Delroy Lindo (Malcolm X) Jean Reno (The Professional), Jonathan Majors (The Last Black Man in San Francisco), Clarke Peters (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Isiah Whitlock Jr. (The 25th Hour), and several more very familiar faces, Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

PREMIERE MOVIE: Based on the popular fantasy series by Eoin Colfer, Artemis Fowl follows the criminal prodigy Artemis Fowl (Ferdia Shaw) as he pursues a clandestine society and searches for his father. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Disney+

SEASON PREMIERE: Better Call Saul's Jonathan Banks joins the already impressive voice cast of Netflix's animated series F is For Family for its fourth season, which finds the Murphy family dealing with estranged parents, complicated pregnancies, and questions of personal identity. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: The team behind Robot Chicken bring their foul-mouthed comic sensibilities to Crossing Swords, which follows a lowly peasant who dreams of becoming a principled knight, but finds the path to heroism isn't so clear cut. Read our review. Streaming on Hulu

NEW EPISODE: The latest installment in Hulu's Into the Dark series is a tale of a pooch that seemingly only Cujo could love. Of course, what we see in the trailer for Into the Dark: Good Boy might not be exactly what's really happening. Streaming on Hulu

NEW SEASON: Compared to Netflix's more recent reality dating concepts, returning series Dating Around feels downright tame: one single goes on five first blind dates and the winner gets to go on a follow-up. The show's six-episode second season moves from New York to New Orleans, and features two episodes centered on LGBTQ singles. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix.

COMEDY SPECIAL: Comedian Jo Koy heads to the Phillippines for his third Netflix special, Jo Koy: In His Elements, where his comedy set touches on his Filipino-American heritage and his personal life experiences. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix

SERIES PREMIERE: Based on the bestseller by Harlan Coben, The Woods follows Paul Copeland (Grzegorz Damiecki) as he pursues fresh leads in the unsolved disappearance of his sister, who vanished at summer camp 25 years earlier. Watch the trailer. Streaming on Netflix
