The Real World Descends into Chaos as Westworld Wraps Season 3

    As Primetimer's Alex Welch writes, Westworld has had more than its fair share of highs and lows in its third season, but it's not over yet. With multiple storylines to wrap up, Sunday's season finale promises at the very least to be action-packed. Also: Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis return with a new season of Billions, Rick & Morty airs the first of five new episodes, and CBS revives a Sunday night tradition for the first time in fourteen years. Here's what's new and noteworthy on TV this weekend:

    SATURDAY MAY 2

    AWARDS SHOW: While it's never been a show to stand on ceremony, this year's Kids Choice Awards has dispensed with the ceremony altogether. Exactly how they'll pull off TV's first remotely-produced awards show remains to be seen, but the sure-to-be slimed guest list is as star-studded as ever.     CABLE PREMIERE: HBO's big Saturday night movie premiere this week is The Art of Racing in the Rain. Based on the bestselling novel by Garth Stein, the 2019 film is told from the point of view of Enzo (voiced by Kevin Costner), a golden retriever who watches his owner Denny (Milo Ventimiglia) as he maneuvers the winding courses of racing and life.     MADE FOR TV MOVIE: When an aspiring pilot (Marc Herrmann) shows up for lessons in in Deadly Mile High Club, his flight instructor (Allison McAtee) quickly goes from grounded to psycho as her obsession with her pupil grows. 8:00 PM ET on Lifetime

    NEW EPISODE: Viewers boning up on their survival skills may want to check out this week's episode of Homestead Rescue, which shows how homesteaders like the Raneys work to protect their livestock and themselves from some of nature's most vicious predators. 8:00 PM ET on Discovery

    SEASON FINALE: The finale of Cold Justice's fifth season takes a closer look at a 1997 killing in Fort Myers, and its victim, who had hoped to become a police officer. 6:00 PM ET on Oxygen

    CHOICE REPEAT: NBC is re-running its most recent in-studio episode of Saturday Night Live from March, with host Daniel Craig and musical guest The Weeknd. 11:30 PM ET on NBC


    SUNDAY MAY 3

    SEASON FINALE: The latest season of the HBO sci-fi series has taken the action out of Westworld and into the real world, leading viewers to wonder which is scarier. The season finale is titled "Crisis Theory," which, if it's anything like another Michael Crichton character's beloved Chaos Theory, means things are about to descend into madness.     SEASON PREMIERE: Chuck Rhoades (Paul Giamatti) and Bobby Axelrod (Damian Lewis) are back for Season 5 of Billions, with the uneasy peace between the two rivals quickly collapsing, as their personal and professional commitments become entangled. Watch the trailer. 9:00 PM ET on Showtime

    NEW EPISODE: The fourth season of Rick & Morty resumes after a five month break, with the first of five new episodes involving space travel and a flying squirrel. 11:30 PM ET on Adult Swim

    SEASON FINALE: Zoey (Jane Levy) hears an ominous tune on Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, and spends the show's season finale trying to head off disaster. Watch the preview. 9:00 PM ET on NBC

    SEASON FINALE: Dean (Matthew Lillard) is determined to make Four Star Pool & Spa a successful business and enlists Beth's (Christina Hendricks) help in making Gayle (Ione Skye) an offer. Meanwhile, the show's namesake Good Girls are set to make an impulsive and potentially misguided decision. Watch the preview. 10:00 PM ET on NBC

    SUNDAY NIGHT MOVIE: After a fourteen-year break, CBS is bringing back its classic CBS Sunday Movie for the next five weeks, starting with the Indiana Jones adventure Raiders of the Lost Ark, the film which first introduced the world to Harrison Ford's swashbuckling professor of archaeology.
